Coming Back Slowly from Quarantine

5/22/20…Shamrock Pet Foundation will begin to slowly come back to our regular adoption events while at the same time keeping our pets and volunteers safe through social distancing measures.  Our efforts will expand as state mandates allow.

The Lucky Cat Cafe has announced they will open their doors with limited Friday and Saturday hours beginning on May 29, 2020. See our article elsewhere on this website for their most recent updates.  We will place a few of our cats with Lucky Cat Cafe as we all begin to stretch our wings!

Shamrock’s Cat Committee will be moving cats back into Feeders Supply now but will not be holding “adoption days” on weekends.  We will have signs on the condos asking people to contact us directly by sending an adoption application to, or by leaving your application at Feeders Supply.  Our cats will be shown on an individual basis as we practice social distancing.

The Dog Committee is in discussion at this time on whether or not to have an adoption night on June 5.  After we have put our heads together, we will make an announcement here and in our article elsewhere on this website. As of this writing, we are NOT holding adoption night in June.

However, the dogs shown on our website are still up for adoption. Please submit your application to us at if you see a dog you would like to meet, so we can provide a safe way for you to meet them via social distancing.

As our state slowly lifts the quarantine, please stay safe!  Remember that the COVID-19 virus will still be with us for a while.  How we live with this “new normal” is up to us.  Wearing masks and practicing social distancing is still our best defense against this virus as we all strive to get back to work however we can safely do it.
