Habitat for Hounds
As most of you know, The Shamrock Foundation has several different branches: cats, dogs, greyhounds... and now doghouses! A new organization (in connection with Shamrock) has risen to give outside dogs shelter. That's right, the organization is called Habitat for Hounds, a non-profit branch of The Shamrock Foundation located in Louisville, Kentucky.
Far too many dogs in our community live in backyards without adequate shelter. That is why Habitat for Hounds, in association with The Shamrock Foundation, has begun a program to distribute doghouses to needy dogs.
You can help provide Habitat for Hounds with doghouses by donating a new or used doghouse in good condition and/or by sending your tax deductible contribution to:

Habitat for Hounds and The Shamrock Foundation strongly encourage keeping your dog inside your home with the family. Dogs have been bred for thousands of years to be pack animals and form strong attachments to their human families. An isolated dog kept apart from its family is more likely to become unhappy, anxious, and/or aggressive.
So please, keep your dog inside so there are no more poor dogs in desperate need for shelter. Most dogs do not have the wild instinct to live off the land and survive by themselves. That's why they have human companions; to protect and love them.
DO YOU KNOW A DOG DESPERATELY IN NEED OF A DOG HOUSE? IF SO, PLEASE CALL HABITAT FOR HOUNDS AT (502)-585-3220 AND WE'LL DONATE A DOG HOUSE.
