Dear Lucky Cat Supporters, Visitors & Adopters

As of today, we have found homes for more than 160 cats and kittens, many of whom had special needs. The biggest recent news was that PENNY found a home! She had been with us more than a year, longer than any other cat. We have stayed in touch with her new owners, and she quickly settled on the first day in her new home, purring and making biscuits.

Whitney was adopted after 11 months. Penny found her furever home after more than a year.

Now it is Nyla’s turn.  She has been with us nearly 6 months, longer than any other cat. Nyla has a tortoiseshell pattern on her fur aka Tortie. Some people say Torties have tortitude, a kind of cattitude. Is that even a real thing?

Many Torties are known for being a bit more challenging, strong-willed, and can be possessive of their human. Other words used to describe Torties are fiercely independent, feisty and unpredictable, according to Ingrid King, author of The Conscious Cat. The only way to know for sure is ask cat friends who have Torties! When it comes to Nyla, we would say yes, she’s a typical Tortie! She also loves playtime and being up high…she looks down on us and smirks.

If you know someone who might be purr-fect for Nyla, please share this message.
