Coming Back Slowly from Quarantine

7/8/20…Shamrock Pet Foundation has begun to slowly come back to our regular adoption events while at the same time keeping our pets and volunteers safe through social distancing measures.  Our efforts will expand as state mandates allow.

The Lucky Cat Café opened their doors at the end of May and now have limited Thursday through Sunday hours. See our article elsewhere on this website for their most recent updates.  We will place a few of our cats with Lucky Cat Café as we all begin to stretch our wings!

Shamrock’s Cat Committee will be moving cats back into Feeders Supply at their Baxter Ave., Middletown, and LaGrange locations now but will NOT be holding our regular adoption days on weekends.  We will have signs on the condos asking people to contact us directly by sending an adoption application to, or by leaving your application at Feeders Supply.  Our cats and kittens will be shown on an individual basis as we practice social distancing.

The Dog Committee will NOT be holding our Friday adoption night at Feeders Supply-Middletown for the time being.  We feel that the COVID-19 virus is still a problem and we want to err on the side of caution by keeping our volunteers and Feeders Supply employees as safe as possible.

However, the dogs shown on our website are still up for adoption. Please submit your adoption application to us at if you see a dog you would like to meet.  We are still processing applications and will make every effort to make good matches for our dogs while maintaining social distancing.

As our state slowly lifts the quarantine, please stay safe!  Remember that the COVID-19 virus will still be with us for a while.  How we live with this “new normal” is up to us.  Wearing masks and practicing social distancing is still our best defense against this virus as we all strive to get back to work and play however we can safely do it.
